Job Description:
The Generations Network is looking for a seasoned, consumer-focused SENIOR INTERACTION DESIGNER to help us define the future of family-based social networking on myfamily.com. Working closely with product management and development, the UI/UX designer plays a critical role in translating the product requirements into a compelling user experience on myfamily.com. This full time position is located in our Bellevue, Washington office. Relocation is available.
Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:
- Work very closely with a small, but dedicated, team to quickly produce wireframes and storyboards for crystallizing and communicating the user story flow, then move rapidly to designing the screen layout, navigation, and look & feel, to provide final visual elements for incorporation into the product.
- Find elegant solutions to complex problems that involve building and maintaining social networks, photo/media sharing and online journaling.
- Be involved in a variety of user centered design activities like usability testing and contextual inquiry.
- 5+ years experience in consumer product and/or web site design;
- Hands-on experience designing functional web-based applications
- Proficient in prototyping, storyboarding, and developing wireframes to map out the overall product flow
- Experience with user centered design and usability testing
- Ability to prototype in HTML/CSS preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
