Who can edit the information found on my Tree?
If a tree has been listed on your site, any Administrator, Member or Guest may view that tree. However, only the tree's owner, and anyone that he or she has assigned a higher level of permission to on ancestry.com, will be permitted to edit elements associated with the tree.
Adding Editors, Contributors and Guests to your tree:
1. Click on the 'Trees' tab to view a list of trees on the site.2. Click on the tree you'd like to edit to access it in ancestry.com.
3. You'll find yourself on the tree's "Home" page. Look for the People You've Invited section and you'll find two ways to edit roles. You can either edit the roles of people who have already viewed your tree by clicking on the 'You can change this' link, or you can invite people (via email) with specific roles by clicking on the 'Invite Family' link.
Roles:
• Editors: Can view the tree, leave comments, add stories and photos and add and edit people
• Contributors: Can view the tree, leave comments and add stories and photos.
• Guests: Can view the tree and leave comments. (All people on your myfamily.com site are given the Guest role by default)
