What types of users can you have on a site?
There are three types of users on myfamily.com sites: Administrators, Members and Guests. Here are the privileges given to each user type:
Administrators:
- Add content to the site
- Edit, delete or share any content on the site
- Invite Members and Guests to the site
- Receive notification emails when the site is updated with new content
- Change appearance of the site
- Change the roles/permissions of other users
- Remove users from the site
- Purchase photo prints and gifts
Members:
- Add content to the site
- Edit or delete any content on the site that they've personally contributed
- Share any content on the site
- Invite Members and Guests to the site*
- Receive notification emails when the site is updated with new content
- Purchase photo prints and gifts
Guests:
- View all content on the site
- Comment on all content on the site**
- Receive notification emails when the site is updated with new content
- Purchase photo prints and gifts
*By default, Administrators and Members can invite people to the site, while Guests cannot. These settings can be changed by site administrators by going to the 'Administrator Settings' section of 'Site Settings' page.
**By default, Administrators, Members and Guests can comment on site content. Site Administrators can choose to prohibit Guests from commenting by going to the 'Administrator Settings' section of 'Site Settings' page.
